Meditation

Learning meditation was one of the greatest investments I’ve ever made. Instilling a daily practice positively influences EVERY aspect of my life. Seriously, I could write an essay.

🦋With rising popularity, there are many misconceptions about #meditation (it’s difficult, intimidating, I don’t have time, expensive, need an empty mind, must sit crossed legged, it’s escapism, you’re supposed to have transcendent experiences).

🦋 Here’s the thing, it is easy to learn (promise), EVERYONE can do it and EVERYONE can experience the benefits. ✔️Increases: positive emotions (more in control), energy, happiness, compassion, immune function, self-awareness, focus, productivity.

✖️Decreases: Stress, anxiety, feelings of loneliness, overwhelm, depression, less involved with your thoughts and more involved in the real world.

🧘‍♀️Some notice changes immediately, from deep relaxation to a positive influence and connectedness in many aspects of life (engaged, calm, patient with children and kinder to themselves). Mama’s this is one of my daily non-negotiable.

🧘‍♀️ The real benefits of meditation are what happens in the other hours of the day when we’re going about our daily lives. A greater sense of happiness and wellbeing. Do some research as to the technique you gravitate toward and find a teacher in your area xx
